Boring books

Ask A Drunk : One Thread

Are the Journals of Rayner Heppenstall the most boring and redundant book in the world? If not, what is?

Rayner Heppenstall? Never heard of her (him?). However, the most boring books are by Dick Francis. I have read about three pages of several, and if it doesn't work by then... Boring books depend on your state of mind at the time, but can be largely avoided by reading Terry Pratchett at every opportunity.

Have a care, Crearie. The novels of Dick Francis are reputed to be the Queen Mother’s favourite reading.

But she has paid a terrible price for this enthusiasm. I have it on good authority that she is only thirty-eight, yet she looks so much older…

There are no boring books, only inappropriately-attired readers.
