Deranged Drunks

Having headed back from my local (quality) tavern in the New Town area this evening.I was unfortunately 'laid into' by a couple of characters near Inverleith as I refused to hand out monetary sums for nothing.Normally, I would put this down to a regrettable incident.On this occasion I have decided to vent anger on this class of humanity.I am a Socialist at heart,yet to be assaulted for politely declining to 'donate' to societys unfortunates is unacceptable.Even more so, when unrepairable damage is carried out on a persons expensive attire (as was the case.) The individuals that carried out this calculated attack looked the worse for wear after the affray.However,Though my gripe here is singular,I think that there must be guidelines for us all to live by or to learn from.I know the next time I am approached late at night...I will probably part with some small change for comfort of journey.

Why the next time you are in the area, simply take a friend along, heavily armed, and launch Operation Enduring No Thank You Mr Derelict. You will gain the respect of the world and contribute to the economy. I feel a headache coming on.

Well, that sounds all very unfortunate. Drinking in Uptown Bandit Territory has it's drawbacks. We have a better class of nutters in Leith, and we know where they are most of the time...
